Orienteering is a competitive sport in which runners have to find their way across rough country with the aid of a map and compass. Orienteering Victoria will teach the Y9s how orienteering works and link to leadership. The Yr 9 students will work in pairs and groups to complete a challenging course at Cardinia Reservoir Park.
As a part of the Leadership week, all Year 9 students will be engaged in a range of activities that aim to develop their capacities and expose them to new experiences. Orienteering is a unique opportunity for the students to enhance their team work skills and problem solving strategies. Students must bring snacks and lunch as well as a water bottle on this excursion. They will not be able to buy food at Cardinia Reservoir. In case of emergencies please contact Karry Zhang.
