Year 10 Food Studies Queen Victoria Market Excursion

Students are learning to create design solutions through a visit to the Queen Victoria market and exploring the ingredients bought to Australia through migration. They would also explore ethical and functional factors that inform the design process in relation to food. Through observation learning, students can consider the economic, environmental and social impacts of technological change and how the choice and use of technology may contribute to a sustainable future.

Students will travel independently to and from the venue. They need to have a operational MYKI card to be able to use public transport.

The most direct route will involve them taking public transport to Flagstaff station and walk up William street to assemble at tram stop number 9 outside Queen Vic Market at 9: 00 am. Students will be dismissed from the same spot at the end of the day.

If students are running late they are to contact Ms Bhola.
