Unit 1 Biology – RBGM Connecting to Country Workshops

Students will learn about the people of the Eastern Kulin Nation and examine the sustainable land practices used by Aboriginal Australians, a key part of the Unit 1 Biology course.

Students will meet their teachers at the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne at 9:45am and will be dismissed from the Gardens at 2:30pm. If students are running late they should contact their teacher: Ms Latham, Mr Monaco , Mr LaBrooy. Students will be given time to have lunch, they should bring their own lunch or bring a way to purchase lunch from the cafes on site at the Botanic Gardens. Students should also bring something to write notes with and something to write notes on. Students should not bring their laptops to this excursion.

Transport:

Students will make their own way to the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. Taking public transport, students should take a train to Flinders St station. They should take any of trams 3/3a, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 or 72 south on St Kilda Rd and alight at Stop 19 Shrine of Remembrance/St Kilda Rd.
