The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) assesses student knowledge and skills in Writing, Reading, Conventions of Language (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and Numeracy.  The results of the tests provide information for students, parents, teachers and principals which can be used to improve student achievement.
 
This year, Year 9 students at Nossal High School will complete the NAPLAN Online tests on Wednesday 12 March and Thursday 13 March 2025.
 
The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) and the Test Administration Authorities have directed that all students experience the NAPLAN Online environment and familiarise themselves with the different types of questions prior to the national testing dates. A short practice test will be made available via the Platform for students to support their participation in the online testing requirements. This practice test also provides familiarisation for teachers in using the test administration and associated functions to ensure that the test can be successfully implemented on the test day.
